Wake Up Wednesday

Wake Up Wednesday is used across school to best educate our children with regards to internet safety
alongside other topics such as safety in our local environment.

At Hoylake Holy Trinity, we have the firm belief that awareness raising alone is not
enough to bring about behavioural change and that a focus on the teaching of skills is essential.

 

Children in Upper Key Stage 2 complete the Aerial Trust Safe Skills Courses:

 

Grassing or Grooming

  • Exploring the motivations and intentions of others
  • How the culture of not 'grassing' is used to control others
  • Positive skills for intervening as a bystander
  • Practising positive communication strategies for asking for help

 

Send Me A Selfie

  • Issues arising from the sharing of online images
  • Pressure to share images and consequences
  • Consent, refusal and resistance skills
