Reading Ambassadors
Hello, we are the Hoylake Holy Trinity Reading Ambassadors and we have an important job to do in school. We all love to read and our job is to encourage others to read too.
We meet each week and discuss ways in which we can promote reading for pleasure, including sharing ideas and opinions from our classmates.
One of our most important roles is to organise and monitor each class’s ‘read aloud basket’. These are texts taken from our reading spine. We complete pupil voice to find out which books they have been enjoying and take ideas about new books children would like to have.
Our role also includes running reading assemblies, helping to organise and run school book fairs and World Book Day, assisting in purchasing new books to ensure book areas are up to date and inviting and reviewing books to help other children through their recommendations.
