Continuous Provision

 

Continuous provision is what we call our areas to play! Children learn important memory function when play allows them to use skills and learn. We have a fantastic provision for our 3 and 4 year olds (Foundation 1) and 4 and 5 year olds (Foundation 2), which allows children the opportunity to play safely and independently. Most importantly, we have communication friendly and language rich environments. When you walk into our setting you will see children engaged in their play, being social and building positive relationship with adults. 

 

The foundations for our continuous provision is build on the characteristics of effective learning in the early years. These are: 

  1. playing and exploring 
  2. active learning 
  3. thinking creatively and critically
